Robin Montgomery vs Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi prediction

Robin Montgomery is through to the quarter-finals in Chennai after two hard-fought victories. In the first-round, the American defeated fourth seed Panna Udvardy 6-4 1-6 6-1. She was 5-3 down in the deciding set against Jeline Vandromme in the round-of-16, but Montgomery fought back to win 6-4 3-6 7-5. Her standout achievement of 2026 so far was her run to the title at the Libema Open, her first on the WTA Tour. Montgomery is currently ranked outside the world’s top 150.

Her next opponent is Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi. The 17-year-old continued her fantastic run at the tournament with a win over Weronika Falkowska. She won 6-4 6-3, becoming the first Indian woman since Sania Mirza in 2012 to reach a WTA Tour singles quarter-final. Rajeshwaran Revathi also came from 5-2 down in the first-round to beat Katarzyna Kawa.

The teenager’s momentum makes an upset possible, but Montgomery’s greater firepower gives her the edge overall.
