In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie, Riga produced an entertaining 3-2 victory over Vardar at Gradski Park in the North Macedonian capital city. Diego Castaneda gave Vardar a lead before Riga turned things around via Orlando Galo and Iago Siqeuira before Gerson Rodrigues equalised for the North Macedonians, only for Iago Siqueira to snatch the victory for the Latvians.
Another entertaining encounter is to be expected for this second-leg in Latvia. Riga have to be viewed as firm favourites, with better European pedigree, and both teams scoring again seems a decent value bet for this one in Central Europe.
