Peru vs Spain prediction

The Peruvians are one of just four teams from South America that failed to qualify for this summer. They finished rock-bottom in the ten-team CONMEBOL table for the FIFA World Cup, albeit they have been fairly improved in the last eight months or so, most recently defeating Haiti by two goals to one in a friendly the other day.

Luis de la Fuente and his European champions, Spain, head to North America as one of the favourites for the trophy. La Roja have been left frustrated in their last couple of friendlies, though, sharing a goalless draw with Egypt in March before a 1-1 draw with Iraq the other day.

The Spanish have lacked efficiency in the final third in their last couple of games but, as they fine tune their preparations, they should take this one a little more seriously at Estadio Cuauhtemoc in Puebla, Mexico.

Peru vs Spain tip: Spain to win
