Czechia manager Miroslav Koubek has announced his provisional squad for FIFA World Cup 2026.

In an emotional squad announcement video, Miroslav Koubek has named a fairly predictable 26-man Czechia squad for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in North America.

The standout name remains Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick with versatile Hoffenheim attacker Adam Hlozek also being taken in the squad after dealing with a fairly injury-hit 2025/26 club campaign.

There is one major surprise in the squad, though, and that is Olympique Lyonnais’ attacking midfielder Adam Karabec having been left out with no reports suggesting there is an injury but his club teammate Pavel Sulc, a similarly exciting younger player, has been included.

West Ham United’s Tomas Soucek and his former club teammate Vladimir Coufal are once again a part of the squad, providing further experience alongside the likes of Vladimir Darida and Michal Sadilek.

The captain for the tournament is Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ladislav Krejci, likely playing in front of PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Matej Kovar, who is expected to win a very competitive race to be the Czechs ‘number one’ – a race which has seen Tottenham Hotspur’s Antonin Kinsky left out.
