Greece vs Slovakia prediction

Greece come into this one on the back of an impressive 2024/25 UEFA Nations League campaign, which featured a famous 2-1 win at Wembley Stadium against England, before gaining promotion to League A via the play-offs in March, overturning a 1-0 loss to Scotland in Athens with a 3-0 hammering of the Scots in the second-leg at Hampden Park.

They take on a Slovakia side that, coached by Maurizio Sarri’s former assistant coach at Napoli, Francesco Calzona, seek to play quite an attractive style of football, but they were most recently halted by Slovenia to mean they have remained in League C of the UEFA Nations League, losing 1-0 over two legs on aggregate in their play-off.

Both sides are preparing for qualifiers later in the week, but they appear to be trending in different directions at the moment and Greece would have to be favourites for this one.
