Vincent Kompany and Bayern Munich completed the domestic double last season and they will expect to do so again, while going a couple of steps further in the UEFA Champions League after being beaten by eventual repeat winners Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.
The Bavarians' squad has experienced a little bit of change with veteran midfielder Leon Goretzka departing alongside on-loan striker Nicolas Jackson and the versatile Raphael Guerreiro. Coached by Sebastian Hoeness, Stuttgart have been one of the most entertaining and front foot teams to watch in European football. That was the case once again last year and they have thus far held on to key men such as Jamie Leweling, Bilal El Khannouss, Chris Fuhrich and Deniz Undav.
Stuttgart finished fourth in the Bundesliga and qualified for the UEFA Champions League. There is an expectation that they will continue to be fun to watch with Hoeness one of the more highly-rated coaches on the continent.

Having feinted twice in pre-season, Jamal Musiala is set to be unavailable for a period of time as he works through neurological issues. New signings Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari could start from the off here.
