Lille vs Paris Saint-Germain prediction

Following the appointment of Davide Ancelotti after he assisted his father Carlo Ancelotti for Brazil at FIFA World Cup 2026, Lille started the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign with a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Angers at Stade Raymond Kopa last weekend, courtesy of first half goals scored by Olivier Giroud and then Tiago Santos.

Defending double European champions Paris Saint-Germain began this season by beating Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup. Since then, though, they have lost to Lens in the Trophee des Champions and then been forced to rely on a Ferran Torres brace to come from 2-0 down to share a 2-2 draw with Stade Rennais last weekend.

PSG remain the favourites for any game that they play in Ligue 1 but Lille should at least be confident of taking the game to them at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Friday.
