It was very much a one-sided affair in the first-leg of this UEFA Nations League League B/C promotion/relegation playoff as Georgia hammered a poor Armenia side in Yerevan.

Georgia vs Armenia Prediction

In the Armenian capital, a still developing and emerging Georgia side dispatched of Armenia in Yerevan thanks to a brace from Olympique Lyonnais striker Georges Mikautadze as well as a goal from defensive midfielder Giorgi Kochorashvili.

The Georgians have been developing well in the last few years with the emergence of the aforementioned Mikautadze as well as the likes of Giorgi Mamardashvili and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. They defeated Portugal by two goals to nil in Germany last en route to a Round of 16 exit to Spain.

Armenia, on the other hand, have failed to show any signs of improvement or general quality since the retirement of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and despite the emergence of Arsen Zakharyan. Since beating Wales in 2023, Armenia have managed just four victories in 18 matches with three of those wins coming against Latvia.

Georgia have what is probably already an unassailable advantage and they are now at home in Tbilisi, where they should finish the job and maintain League B status quite comfortably.
