In a six-strong Atletico Madrid contingent in Argentina’s squad at FIFA World Cup 2026, Thiago Almada provides an extra element of creativity in the final third for Lionel Scaloni. The 25-year-old was on the periphery of Diego Simeone’s first-choice options in attack, having joined Atletico last summer after a short stint at Olympique Lyonnais.
