One of the most surprising picks in Argentina’s squad is Palmeiras striker Flaco Lopez. Crucially an out and out striker, helping him beat off the likes of Franco Mastantuono and Alejandro Garnacho, Jose Manuel Lopez, known as Flaco, made his Argentina debut in the autumn of last year and, despite not scoring, his performances in Brazil’s Serie A have done enough to get him in the squad.
