Given the final shirt number in the Selecao squad, the number 26, it could well be that many perceive Rayan as sneaking into the squad – but that under the radar emergence may not last too long. The 19-year-old joined AFC Bournemouth from Vasco da Gama in January for a hefty fee and he has taken to the Premier League extremely impressively with The Cherries. Scoring five goals in 15 appearances, and that not remotely reflecting the quality that he has shown, he is exciting Brazilian supporters enormously. He grabbed his first goal for his country in a 6-2 demolition of Panama in a pre-tournament friendly and the winger could well be a breakout star at this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
