With the experienced Alex Sandro just ahead of him in the pecking order for the time being heading into the tournament, 32-year-old Douglas Santos has found some excellent form in the Selecao’s pre-tournament friendlies. He heads into the tournament with fewer than ten international caps, despite making his Brazil debut in 2016. He joined Zenit Saint-Petersburg all the way back in 2019 and has made close to 250 appearances across all competitions for the Russian giants since then.
