Arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, at least on his day, Mike Maignan heads into this summer as the undisputed French first-choice goalkeeper after taking over from Hugo Lloris, who captained Les Bleus to the final of FIFA World Cup 2022. Maignan doesn’t have too many weaknesses aside from occasionally picking up injuries on a more regular basis than most goalkeepers. He is an excellent last line of defence as the French seek to earn their second FIFA World Cup.
