Tyshawn Williams vs Antonio Monteiro prediction
Tyshawn Williams (8-0) is another fighter on this card bringing an unbeaten record into the event and the 30-year-old will be hoping to extend that run.
Five of his wins have come by knockout but he has solid submission skills also. Williams will be comfortable wherever this fight goes.
His opponent is the hugely experienced Brazilian Antonio Monteiro (18-5-1) who has previously featured in the Contender Series having lost to Yadier del Valle back in October 2024.
He returns for another shot and the energetic Brazilian will be desperate to take his chance. He has had only one fight since then so he may be a little rusty but his motivation will be through the roof.
This one is potentially not as easy to call as the bookmakers’ odds would suggest. Williams is heavily favoured but he is stepping up in quality here.
Monteiro is really tough and well-rounded and has all the attributes to make this a really tough test for Williams. There is every chance he rises to the occasion, but we can see Monteiro taking this the distance and pushing him all the way. Even if he does not do enough for the victory, we expect this one to go to the scorecards.
Prediction: Fight to go the distance
