Igor Cavalcanti (13-2) makes a long-awaited return to Dana White’s Contender Series after he lost on his first appearance some three years ago.
The Brazilian has ten knockouts and three submissions to his name and is as dangerous as they come at this level. He will be looking to end this fight right from the start.
He meets Oscar Ravello (13-3-1) who is a former WGC Middleweight Champion and FFC Welterweight Champion in his own right.
The Peruvian is willing to give up a belt in the WGC in order to get a shot in the UFC and he will be eager to follow that up with another triumph here.
That will be easier said than done against Cavalcanti who is incredibly dangerous. Ravello will have to nail his game plan if he is to get a win here but we do not quite see it.
Cavalcanti should get the contract and expect him to get the stoppage too.
