Club Brugge Preview: In with a chance

Club Brugge have enjoyed an impressive 2024/25 UEFA Champions League league phase campaign as they begin this week’s seventh match day of the tournament sitting above the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City.

The Belgians come into this one on the back of a thrilling and entertaining 4-2 defeat of Beerschot in the Jupiler Pro League at the weekend at the Janbreydelstadion thanks to a brace from Gustaf Nilsson and goals scored by Hugo Vetlesen and Hans Vanaken.

Juventus Preview: The dull style of football

Coached by former Bologna boss Thiago Motta, Juventus’ form in Serie A has been almost comical. The Bianconeri defeated AC Milan by two goals to nil at the weekend but pressure remains on Motta due to the frustrating style of football that has been implemented in Turin.

Remarkably, they remain the only unbeaten side in Serie A after 21 matches of the campaign but 13 of those games have been draws, meaning they have only won two more games than Hellas Verona, who sit in the bottom three and the relegation places.

Club Brugge Team News: Fully fit

Ahead of this week’s visit of Juventus to Brugge, Club Brugge have no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues with a fully fit and available squad so they will be able to name an unchanged eleven for this one this weekend.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Mignolet; Seys, Ordonez, Mechele, De Cuyper; Onyedika, Jashari; Skov Olsen, Vanaken, Tzolis; Jutgla

Club Brugge vs Juventus Prediction

Club Brugge, coached by Nicky Hayen, have been entertaining to watch and will be a little frustrated to have not wrapped up a top 24 finish in the UEFA Champions League after being held to a 1-1 draw by Celtic in Glasgow last month in a game in which they were the better side. They now face a Juventus side that find it frustrating to play against teams that go at them at the moment and Club Brugge will fancy their chances of hurting the Italians this week, as they have done against strong teams such as Aston Villa and Sporting CP.

Club Brugge vs Juventus Tip: Double chance – Club Brugge to win or draw
