Venezia preview: Venetian struggles
Under the management of former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, Venezia are performing similarly with similar trends to that of last season’s Frosinone, who were adventurous and attacking before battening down the hatches too late in the season.
They have become more defensive in the last couple of months and they do remain in the bottom three and the relegation places but Venezia suffered a 3-0 loss to Davide Nicola’s Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena in Sardinia in their most recent outing.
Juventus preview: Pushing for the top four
Since the appointment of former Lazio boss Igor Tudor, Juventus have been steadier in the last couple of months as they sit just inside the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots in Serie A after a four-match unbeaten run of form ahead of this one.
The Bianconeri most recently defeated Udinese by two goals to nil at the J Stadium in Turin on the penultimate match day of the campaign last week thanks to second-half goals from Argentina international and Serbia international Nicolas Gonzalez and Dusan Vlahovic.
Venezia team news: Idzes suspended
Indonesia international defender Jay Idzes is unavailable for this weekend as he is missing through suspension. They also have a couple of key injury doubts such as midfielder Alfred Duncan and attacker Gaetano Oristanio.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Radu; Schingtienne, Haps, Cande; Zerbin, Kike Perez, Caviglia, Busio, Ellertsson; Yeboah, Gytkjaer
Unavailable: Svoboda (Injured), Idzes (Suspended), Crnigoj (Injured), Conde (Injured)
Questionable: Duncan (Injured), Oristanio (Injured)
Juventus team news: Kalulu still suspended
French defender Pierre Kalulu remains missing through suspension for Juventus this weekend and they also have some key injury issues as Bremer and Juan Cabal are sidelined, whilst midfielder Weston McKennie and Teun Koopmeiners are injury doubts, too.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Costa, Veiga, Kelly, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Douglas Luiz; Gonzalez, Conceicao, Yildiz; Kolo Muani
Unavailable: Kalulu (Suspended), Bremer (Injured), Juan Cabal (Injured)
Questionable: McKennie (Injured), Koopmeiners (Injured), Milik (Injured)
Venezia vs Juventus prediction
Venezia have produced some impressive performances in the last couple of months, particularly when making things tight at the back with home advantage. They face a Juventus side that head to Venice with an excellent chance of making the top four but the Old Lady have remained low-scoring throughout the campaign. Juventus would have to remain as favourites for this one in what is expected to be a game decided by fine margins that will have major consequences.
Venezia vs Juventus tip: Juventus to win & under 3.5 goals
