USA vs South Korea prediction
The United States have struggled for any sort of form under Mauricio Pochettino, as they prepare to co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Stars and Stripes finished fourth in the CONCACAF Nations League during the March international break, before finishing as runners’ up to Mexico in this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.
They now face a South Korea side that have replaced Klinsmann with Hong Myung-bo. The so-called ‘Tigers of Asia’ are currently ranked 23rd in the world and do have a strong-ish squad. The Koreans secured qualification for next summer with relative ease in June, as they comfortably defeated both Iraq and Kuwait.
South Korea will head to New Jersey with a bit of confidence, and a fair bit more cohesion than their opponents, albeit it could be quite a fun watch for the neutral.
