Tommy Paul vs Andrey Rublev prediction
Tommy Paul was unable to reach the final of the Lyon Open last time out, as he lost in the last four to compatriot Taylor Fritz. Paul had three set points at 5-4 up in the second set to level the match, but Fritz saved them all and reeled off three games in a row to complete the victory. The American has been relatively consistent recently, following a quarter-final run at the Shanghai Masters.
Andrey Rublev’s disappointing season continued as he was on the end of a first-round loss to Adrian Mannarino at the Almaty Open last week. Rublev has just the one title to his name in 2026, and he has dropped outside of the world’s top 20 in the rankings.
Rublev does lead the head-to-head 5-1, but they haven’t played each other for three years. The 28-year-old looks short on confidence at the minute, and Paul is in better form.
