Cameron Norrie vs Francisco Cerundolo prediction
Cameron Norrie is looking to end a five-match losing run as he aims for a strong end to a disappointing season at the Vienna Open. His struggles continued in Lyon last week after an opening round defeat to Benjamin Bonzi. Norrie’s highlight of the year was his run to the quarter-finals of Indian Wells, but his struggles with injury and consistent form have become a feature of his campaign.
Francisco Cerundolo missed out on the chance of a first final since June after an agonising loss to Tallon Griekspoor in Brussels last week. The Argentine served for the match at 5-3 in the deciding set, but Griekspoor would fight back to win. Nevertheless, Cerundolo’s form has been encouraging, having also advanced to the quarter-finals of the China Open earlier this month.
The 28-year-old leads the head-to-head 2-1, but this will be their first match indoors. Cerundolo’s superior recent results and attacking quality should eventually prove decisive in this match.
