Alexander Zverev vs Martin Landaluce prediction
Alexander Zverev will claim the world number one spot if he produces a deep run at the Vienna Open. Zverev finished as runner up at this event last year, losing to Jannik Sinner in the final. The German lost in the semi-final stage of the Shanghai Masters last time out, after a three set defeat to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Zverev is now a two-time Grand Slam champion, and he will be looking to end the best season of his career strongly.
His first-round opponent is Martin Landaluce. The Spaniard lost his first-round match in Lyon last week to Stan Wawrinka. He did reach the final of a Challenger event in Jinan just a days earlier, and he has already shown his promise this season with runs to the quarter-finals in Miami and Rome.
Zverev should be able to dominate behind his first serve, and he will be expected to win comfortably against Landaluce.
