Griekspoor is now just one match away from reaching the fourth-round of a Grand Slam for the first time.
He now faces Ethan Quinn, who continued his run in Paris with a thrilling five set win over Alexander Shevchenko, coming back from two sets to one down to win 6-4 4-6 6-7 7-6 7-5. That was his first victory in a completed match at a Grand Slam after Grigor Dimitrov had retired from their first-round encounter. The 21-year-old American will enter the top 100 of the world rankings after this tournament for the first time.
