Spain vs Turkey prediction
Luis de la Fuente’s Spain come into this one on the back of a brilliant qualifying campaign which continued at the weekend with an impressive 4-0 hammering of Georgia in Tbilisi. The European champions have immense depth and, alongside Argentina, are emerging as clear favourites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
They are facing a Turkey side that, coached by former Italy international striker Vincenzo Montella, have also been improving of late and they will have a playoff in March to book their spot in North America. The Turks eased to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Bulgaria in Bursa the other day.
Turkey head to La Cartuja in Seville seeking to spring a surprise and gain revenge on their 6-0 demolition at the hands of Spain in September, when they were too hyped up, but the Spanish remain favourites in what could be an entertaining clash.
