Sao Paulo have been one of the strongest teams in this season’s CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores group stage with three victories and two draws as they take on a Talleres side that earned their first win in this competition in their most recent outing in this tournament.
Sao Paulo, under the management of Luis Zubeldia, come into this one on the back of a 2-0 loss at home to Mirassol in the Brazilian Serie A at the weekend. They now face a Talleres de Cordoba side that most recently defeated Alianza Lima by two goals to nil a few weeks ago to mean they are above the Peruvians as they chase a third place finish and potential CONMEBOL Copa Sudamericana knockout football later this season.
However, they face a tough test against a Sao Paulo seeking to finish top in Group D and siding with the Brazilians in Brazil would appear the likeliest outcome for this one.
