How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Amazon Prime / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • The only previous World Cup qualifying matches between these teams were a pair of wins for Romania in the campaign for the 1994 finals (4-1 a, 2-1 h)
  • Romania have lost only one of their previous 15 international matches against Cyprus (W11 D3).
  • Cyprus have won only one of their last nine World Cup qualifying matches (D1 L7).

Romania vs Cyprus prediction

Romania have made a lacklustre start to their qualifying campaign having lost two of their opening three matches making this even more important. They come off a 2-1 loss in Austria last time out so they will be desperate to get the win as they return to home soil.

They can take heart from their excellent record against Cyprus as they have won 11 of their 15 previous meetings and lost only once.

Cyprus have one win and one defeat so far but with an away trip to Austria next up, there is little margin for error in truth.

That should make for an entertaining encounter and we expect both teams to play an open style. that should make both teams to score and interesting play in this one.

Romania vs Cyprus tip: Both teams to score
