Platense vs Fluminense prediction
In the first-leg of this CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores quarter-final tie, Fluminense eased to a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Platense at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro with goals scored by Nonato and former Brazil international forward Hulk.
Platense have since succumbed to a 2-1 loss domestically to Estudiantes due to a late winner scored by former Southampton striker Guido Carrillo. Fluminense were also beaten as they were beaten 3-1 by Atletico Mineiro the other day.
Fluminense had been unbeaten in eight matches across all competitions before that loss and they will have to be favoured to ease themselves into the semi-finals here at Estadio Ciudad de Vicente Lopez.
