Auckland FC’s back line has led to them not being able to build on their win over Melbourne City, as they have since been taken down 5-2 at the hands of Western Sydney Wanderers, before playing out a 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar. Whilst Auckland have found the net in all three of their A-League fixtures so far, conceding seven goals has worked against them.
But for Wellington Phoenix, it’s three wins from three, scoring at least twice on each occasion. They are the only team left in the A-League to have won all of their matches. With the Wellington attack firing on all cylinders, you’d expect more success for them here. But Auckland have shown that they are capable of finding the net in any given fixture, regardless of whether they win it or not. Therefore, it’s worthwhile to back both teams to score between these two sides.
