Niger vs Guinea prediction

At the CAF African Nations Championship, Niger have been a lot stronger than at the fully fledged CAF Africa Cup of Nations. They reached the semi-finals of the 2022 event in Algeria a few years’ ago. They face a Guinea side that failed to qualify for that 2022 tournament, but had reached the semi-finals in two of the previous three tournaments, with a third place finish in their most recent outing in Cameroon in 2020.

Niger come into this one on the back of this current squad sharing a goalless draw with the Central African Republic in a friendly at Stade de la Reunification in Douala late last month. Guinea shared a 1-1 draw with the same opposition a few days’ later.

These are two sides that would appear evenly matched and the common trend for African football is for things to lack quality and attacking threat so a low-scoring encounter is to be expected.

Niger vs Guinea tip: Under 2.5 goals
