Morocco preview: Strong Moroccans

Mohamed Ouabhi, who won the FIFA U20 World Cup 2025 with the Moroccans, took charge of the first-team in March and he has continued The Atlas Lions' impressive displays as they seek to emulate what they achieved in Qatar in 2022 as they became the first African team to reach the semi-finals of a FIFA World Cup.

The North Africans were the better side as they shared a 1-1 draw with Brazil in their opener in New York/New Jersey before a very early Ismael Saibari strike was enough to give the Moroccans a crucial victory against Scotland in Boston.

Haiti preview: Competitive but out

Having come through the rigour of CONCACAF qualification for FIFA World Cup 2026 without being able to play at home due to the ongoing civil war in Haiti, the Haitians, back at the tournament for the first time since 1974, have been competitive in their opening games but they have failed to score and are one of the few teams eliminated heading into the final round.

Haiti began with a slender 1-0 loss to Scotland in Boston in a game in which they missed a few late chances before they were then beaten 3-0 by Brazil in Philadelphia with the Selecao going 3-0 up by half-time and then taking their foot off the gas against a Haiti side that made themselves obdurate in the second half.

Morocco team news: Fully-fit

Morocco have a fully fit and available squad for this one and so they will be expected to go with their strongest eleven as they try and pip Brazil at the top of Group C.

There are not expected to be any changes made by Mohamed Ouahbi with Ayyoub Bouaddi and Neil El Aynaoui providing an impressive midfield platform for the likes of Bayern Munich-bound Ismael Saibari and Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz in attack.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Bounou; Hakimi, Diop, Riad, Mazraoui; El Aynaoui, Bouaddi; Brahim, Ounahi, El Khannouss; Saibari

Unavailable:

Questionable:

Haiti team news: Nazon a doubt

All-time top scorer Duckens Nazon is a major doubt for this one against the Moroccans due to injury. That should mean Wilson Isidor starts alongside Frantzdy Pierrot.

Having already been eliminated, the Haitians will want to go away with some pride and that may mean they will not rotate too much against Morocco.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Placide; Arcus, Ade, Delcroix, Experience; Deedson, Bellegarde, Jean Jacques, Providence; Isidor, Pierrot

Unavailable:

Questionable: Nazon (Injured)

Morocco vs Haiti prediction

Group C's winner could well be decided by goal difference with Brazil having a +3 difference and Morocco on +1, but Brazil finish up against a Scotland side that could do with a result in their final game as Morocco seek to rack up a score against Haiti.

Morocco have threatened to rack up the goals against both Brazil and Scotland before fading - from an attacking perspective - after the first-half hydration break, and while it would have been ideal to not play with much intensity in their final game, they will need to maintain their intent to come out on top in Group C.

Haiti will want to finish their FIFA World Cup with a goal and some pride and they did show some enterprise in pre-tournament friendlies as well as against Scotland, and that may play into the hands of a Morocco side needing a big win.
