In the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League play-off round tie at the neutral venue of the Superbet Arena in Giulesti in Romania, Hapoel Be’er Sheva won by two goals to one with goals from Javon East and Igor Zlatanovic helping them come from behind after Sabah had opened the scoring early on via Veljko Simic.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva have overcome Vikingur Reykjavik and then, perhaps more surprisingly, Crvena Zvezda, in the UEFA Champions League so far this season. Sabah began their campaign in the first qualifying round but have knocked out The New Saints, Kuopion Palloseura and then Aarhus.
Sabah will fancy themselves at home here, especially having come from behind after losing the first-leg in Denmark against Aarhus, and they should be sided with in Azerbaijan.
