Millwall vs Newcastle prediction

After finishing third in the Championship last season, Millwall, with Alex Neil at the helm, are expected to challenge for promotion once again this time around. The Lions had stuttered recently but got themselves back on track with a 4-0 demolition of Bolton Wanderers at The Den the other day.

Newcastle have started brightly under Matthias Jaissle with four points collected from games against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur before they came from 2-0 down to share a 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth at St James’ Park, courtesy of a late equaliser scored by attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey.

Newcastle have a fair bit of depth and will rotate here but should still have enough to overcome a Millwall side that were flattered by the 4-0 scoreline at the weekend after conceding eight goals in two games against Southampton and Wrexham before that.

Millwall vs Newcastle tip: Newcastle to win
