Melbourne City vs Western United prediction

In the first-leg of their A League semi-final tie, the Melbourne City comfortably defeated Western United by three goals to nil at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium last weekend thanks to goals from German Ferreyra, Yonatan Cohen and Mathew Leckie.

The Melbourne City, as part of the City Football Group, are looking to re-establish themselves as the dominant side in Australia as they now come into this one on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run of form in the Australian top-flight. Western United were entertaining to watch throughout the regular season but the visitors must now tap into that attacking aggression to overturn such a heavy deficit.

With their home advantage, the Melbourne City should complete a comfortable aggregate victory with this second-leg once again expected to be quite high-scoring, regardless of the match result.

Melbourne City vs Western United tip: Over 2.5 goals
