Melbourne City vs Melbourne Victory prediction

Melbourne City are seeking to re-establish themselves as the dominant force in Australian football, having finished as runners’ up in the regular season behind Auckland. They overcame Western United in their semi-final with a 4-1 aggregate victory, winning the first-leg by three goals to nil away from home.

The Melbourne Victory produced a shock victory in New Zealand last weekend to reach the final. Having lost by a goal to nil to the aforementioned Auckland in the first-leg, the Victory managed to produce a 2-0 win at the Go Media Stadium last week thanks to quick-fire goals in the second-half from Zach Machach and Bruno Fornaroli.

Melbourne Victory have produced some remarkable moments to reach this stage through the playoffs but their city rivals, Melbourne City, have to remain firm favourites for the Grand Final as they seek their second Grand Final victory.
