Man City preview: Premier League debut to remember
Tijjani Reijnders-inspired Man City recorded a 0-4 win away at Wolves on the opening weekend of the season, summer signing Rayan Cherki also amongst the goals with Erling Haaland grabbing two of his own.
Pep Guardiola's men lost by that same scoreline in last season's home fixture against Tottenham, so will be keen to avenge that this time around.
Tottenham preview: Eze blunder
Tottenham made a positive start to their Premier League campaign last weekend, seeing off promoted side Burnley in a 3-0 victory that will will be remembered for Richarlison's stunning overhead kick.
It's been a difficult week for Spurs off the field though, having lost out to bitter rivals Arsenal in the signing of Eberechi Eze, with chairman Daniel Levy coming under plenty of criticism for his handling of the deal.
Man City team news: Ederson, Rodri & Foden available
Despite a return to training, Josko Gvardiol is not deemed ready to feature against Spurs, but Rodri and Phil Foden have been declared fit and available by Guradiola. Ederson is also back in contention after illness kept him out last week, so it remains to be seen whether he displaces summer arrival James Trafford in goal.
Rodri may have to settle for a place on the bench as Pep eases his lynchpin back into action, while the likes of Omar Marmoush and Rayan Cherki will hope for starts after benchings against Wolves.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Trafford; Lewis, Stones, Dias, Ait-Nouri; Reijnders, Gonzalez, Gundogan; Bobb, Haaland, Marmoush

Tottenham team news: Udogie close, but still out
Thomas Frank is dealing with a considerable injury list in the early stages of his Spurs career, and still cannot count upon Destiny Udogie despite a return to full training for the full-back.
Richarlison's superb display last weekend should keep him as a starter ahead of fit-again Dominic Solanke.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Sarr, Gray, Bergvall; Kudus, Richarlison, Johnson
Unavailable: Dragusin (Injured), Takai (Injured), Udogie (Fitness), Bissouma (Injured), Maddison (Injured), Kulusevski (Injured), Gil (Injured)

Man City vs Tottenham prediction
Despite Tottenham's strong opening weekend performance, the mood around the club has soured a little following the news that Arsenal are set to hijack their pursuit of Eberechi Eze and bring him to the Emirates instead.
There could be some fan unrest among the away supporters as a result, but the players must put that to one side and ready themselves for the task of facing Pep Guardiola's rejuvenated side.
City may still be a work in progress as they bed the new boys in, but they can be fancied on home turf in this one.
