Maccabi Tel-Aviv vs Sheriff prediction

In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa League second qualifying round tie, Maccabi Tel-Aviv wrapped up their progress with a 5-0 demolition of Sheriff Tiraspol in Transnistria. Sayed Abu Farkhi notched a brace with goals also scored by Dor Peretz, Sagiv Jehezkel and Issouf Sissokho.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv began the 2026-27 season in impressive fashion as they defeated Hapoel Be’er Sheva to win the Israeli Super Cup earlier this month. Sheriff have been regressing for a few years since famous wins in the group stages of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League.

This tie is already all but over and, even though they do not have home advantage and are also likely to rotate, the Israelis should win quite comfortably once again.
