Lugano vs CFR Cluj prediction

Lugano finished fourth in the Swiss Super League last season, but managed to qualify for the UEFA Europa League. They were in the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, under Mattia Croci-Torti.

Coached by former Chelsea defender Dan Petrescu, CFR Cluj began their 2025/26 season with a 2-1 loss to FCSB in the Romanian Super Cup, with FCSB winning the game in second-half stoppage-time. The Romanians have since defeated Hungarian side Paksi in the first qualifying round with a goalless draw in the first-leg, before then running rampant with a 3-0 win in Cluj in the second-leg.

Lugano have not yet started competitive action this season, and that should benefit CFR Cluj so siding with the Romanians would appear a good value bet for this one.

Lugano vs CFR Cluj tip: Double chance – CFR Cluj to win or draw
