Libya come into this one on the back of a surprise and slender 1-0 defeat of Angola at Estadio 11 de Novrembro in the Angolan capital city of Luanda last weekend, courtesy of a 48th minute winner scored by Ezoo El Mariama. The Libyans sit four points behind second place Cameroon as they chase a potential playoff spot.
They now face an Eswatini side that are among the weakest on the African continent, having collected just two points with five defeats in their seven CAF qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Their most recent outing saw them suffer a 3-0 hammering at the hands of the Cameroonians the other day.
Eswatini lack quality and any attacking thrust, and even though Libya aren’t the best team to watch themselves, they would be the favourites for this one at 28 March Stadium in Benghazi.
