Neither Korea DPR, nor Colombia have conceded a single goal yet since the beginning of the knockout stage. When the pressure has been at its highest, both have stood firm, withstood opposition attacks, remained disciplined off the ball and made their own opportunities count. Korea DPR left it late in the quarter-finals, but finally broke through Canada with two goals in second-half stoppage time, whilst Colombia did exactly the same, scoring a winning goal in the 92nd minute to break the hearts of Nigeria.
Those late goals are only likely to make this game even more cagey and defensive the longer it goes on with both teams prioritising defensive stability. You’d argue that Korea DPR have the edge with a 100% record across the tournament so far, but Colombia have definitely stepped up a gear in the knockout stage and are extremely tough to break down. With that in mind, back under 1.5 goals to be scored over the course of 90 minutes in this semi-final.
