Katerina Siniakova vs Lanlana Tararudee prediction

Katerina Siniakova arrives in fantastic form after winning the title in Osaka last week. She dropped just one set across the entire tournament, beating Ashlyn Krueger in the final. That was her first singles title in three years, and she has now moved back up inside the top 50 of the world rankings. Siniakova had not reached a quarter-final all year prior to that event.

Siniakova takes on third seed Lanlana Tararudee in the first-round of the Guangzhou Open. Tararudee could only make round two in Osaka, losing to Krueger in straight sets. It’s been a breakthrough year for the 22-year-old, with two lower-level titles and a couple of tour-level quarter-finals.

Siniakova leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a victory in Warsaw last year. This is a tough opener, but it’s hard to look past the Czech after her exploits last week. She will want to carry on the momentum with a victory here.
