Juventus vs Benfica Prediction
In their 22nd match of the 2024/25 Serie A campaign, Juventus suffered their first defeat as league leaders Napoli beat them by two goals to one at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. They have drawn 13 of those 22 games, though, so things aren’t as positive as they should be and that was exacerbated by a goalless draw with Club Brugge last week to mean they are in a very good position to finish in the top eight of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League. Benfica were 4-2 up against Barcelona at Estadio da Luz last week but eventually suffered a 5-4 loss due to a late Raphinha goal with Bruno Lage giving his players a dressing down on the pitch after the game. He didn’t get the reaction he wanted at the weekend, though, as they suffered a 3-1 loss to Casa Pia to pile the pressure on Lage. Given that, and their low-scoring tendencies, a frustrating home win would appear the likeliest outcome for this one at the J Stadium.
Juventus vs Benfica Tip: Juventus to win & under 3.5 goals
