Le Havre preview: Expected to struggle
Still under the management of former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard, Le Havre have started the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign by collecting just one point from their opening three matches.
The home team come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to Stade Brest in a game that was seemingly in the balance before Junior Mwanga was sent off in first half stoppage-time.
Angers preview: Steady Angers
Alexandre Dujeux led Angers to the top-flight in the 2023-24 campaign and they have gone on to secure their top-flight status with relative ease before his departure to Lorient this summer, replaced by former Paris FC boss Stephane Gilli.
Gilli has overseen two defeats, against tough teams in Monaco and Stade Rennais, as well as an impressive 3-1 defeat of an Auxerre side that also changed their manager this summer after following the same three-season pattern as Angers.

Le Havre vs Angers prediction
Angers will be content that their two defeats so far this season have come against two teams in Rennes and Monaco that will be in or at least challenging for the top three and the UEFA Champions League spots – and are therefore forgivable. Le Havre have seemingly been circling the drain for a while now and their plummet down to Ligue 2 almost feels inevitable at this stage and so siding with Angers would seem the value bet for this one on the coast.
