Ahead of beginning their UEFA Europa Conference League league phase campaign this coming midweek, Getafe have started this season as dull as ever under Jose Bordalas with two goals scored and five conceded – three of those coming in their opener.
Getafe were left frustrated last week with a 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo at the Coliseum in a game in which they took a first half lead via Martin Satriano before Carl Starfelt equalised in the 57th minute. They were then fortunate to survive with a point after Zaid Romero was sent off ten minutes afterwards.
Deportivo La Coruna preview: Super Depor
Having finally returned to the top-flight of Spanish football, Deportivo La Coruna have started their campaign extremely well with two victories and two draws in their four matches after an impressive summer transfer window.
Up against Villarreal at El Madrigal last week, Depor found themselves 2-1 down after an Adama Traore own goal in the 76th minute but they turned it around with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring in a fourth successive match with their winner in the 88th minute.
Getafe team news: Romero suspended
Sent off against Celta last week, defender Zaid Romero is now missing through suspension with forwards Christantus Uche and Juanmi remaining sidelined alongside defenders Abdel Abqar and Kiko Femenia.

Deportivo La Coruna backed up their 3-1 win over Valencia with that dramatic come from behind win at Villarreal to establish themselves as the surprise package at this early stage of the campaign. Getafe will be more frustrating and awkward to play against than either of those two Valencian sides and a lower scoring affair seems the best bet to go for as Depor simply seek to continue their unbeaten run of form.
