NEC vs Omonia prediction

NEC Nijmegen were beaten by Bodo/Glimt in the play-off round of the UEFA Champions League in August after their best ever finish in the Eredivisie last season but they have lost several key men and they sit in the bottom half domestically at this stage. They have a win, a draw and a defeat in the UEFA Europa League this season.

Omonia Nicosia, under the management of former Blackburn Rovers boss Henning Berg, won the Cypriot title last season and began their UEFA Europa League league phase campaign with a famous defeat of Celta Vigo. They have since gone on to hammer Celje in Slovenia before being beaten 4-1 at home by Benfica.

A bit more experience at this level, Omonia may well fancy themselves to at least avoid defeat against NEC at the Gofferstadion on Thursday.

NEC vs Omonia tip: Double chance – Omonia to win or draw
