German champions Bayern Munich began the season by claiming German Super Cup glory against domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund, and they have since collected seven points from their first three Bundesliga matches.
Vincent Kompany's side just came up short in the Champions League last season, losing out at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain in a semi-final tie that will be remembered for years to come.
Bodo/Glimt preview: Thrilling run last season
Bodo/Glimt were one of the surprise packages in the Champions League last season, with the Norwegian minnows eliminating former winners Inter Milan before losing out to Sporting CP in the round of 16.
Kjetil Knutsen made it through two rounds of qualifying to reach the league phase once more, and they currently have a three-point lead at the top of the Norwegian Eliteserien.
Bayern Munich team news: Gnabry could return
Serge Gnabry has returned to training and Kompany will make a late call on his involvement for this league phase opener, with the German having not featured since April.
The versatile Nathaniel Brown, a summer signing, has featured prominently in the early weeks of the season but could find himself ousted from the starting line-up here.
