Inter vs Hacken prediction
Inter make their debut in the group stage / league phase after recording a stunning comeback victory over two-time winners Wolfsburg in qualifying, with the Italian side losing the first leg 2-0 in Germany before a 3-1 victory in the second leg took them to a penalty shoot-out, where they prevailed 5-4.
Managed by David Sassarini, who took the reigns in July of this year, Inter are yet to begin their domestic campaign in 2026-27. Under previous head coach Gianpiero Piovani, they finished second behind Roma in the Women's Serie A last season.
By contrast, Hacken are nearing the latter stages of their domestic campaign, with the Swedish champions comfortably top of their league as they look to defend the title they won for the second time last year.
The Swedish outfit won the inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup last season, beating national rivals Hammarby in a two-legged final. Indeed, they beat Inter in the round of 16 en route to that success, winning 1-0 on aggregate in a low-scoring tie.
These look to be two fairly evenly-matched teams and it could be a match decided by fine margins, just as it was last year. With that in mind, we wouldn't be surprised to see this one go under 2.5 goals as both teams find their feet in the league phase.
