Key Stats

  • Guinea are aiming to win successive World Cup qualifying matches for the first time since November 2015.
  • Algeria have lost only two of their last 16 World Cup qualifying matches (W12 D2).
  • Algeria have won their last four World Cup qualifying matches.
  • None of Algeria’s last 37 World Cup qualifying matches finished without a goal being scored. Their last 0-0 in FWCQ was away from home against Rwanda in March 2009.

Guinea vs Algeria Prediction

In their seven CAF qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Guineans have managed three victories with a draw and three defeats. They are still competing to be the runner up and earn a playoff berth alongside Uganda and Mozambique. They most recently eased past Somalia by three goals to nil the other day.

They now face an Algeria side that have managed six victories and suffered a defeat in their opening seven matches. The north Africans most recently eased themselves past Botswana by three goals to one at Hocine Ait Ahmed Stadium, courtesy of a strike from Mohamed Amoura, as well as a Benjamin Bounedjah brace.

Algeria have a very strong team and they will be expected to get themselves another win here, albeit Guinea are certainly a more competitive than most out of the middling sides on the continent.

Guinea vs Algeria Tip: Algeria to win & under 3.5 goals
