Gamba Osaka come into this one on the back of back-to-back 2-0 defeats to JEF United and then FC Tokyo in the J1 League. That leaves them with just one win in their opening seven matches of the season domestically.
Cong An Hanoi, on the other hand, defeated The Cong by a goal to nil in the V.League 1 in their most recent outing. That means that the Vietnamese have started their domestic campaign with a couple of wins.
CAHN, who romped to the Vietnamese title last year, will believe they can be competitive here but Gamba Osaka have to remain favourites in a likely unconvincing performance.
