Celtic defender Alistair Johnston will be a key man for Canada at right-back this summer. The 27-year-old defender, formerly of Nashville and Montreal in Major League Soccer, joined The Bhoys after his impressive displays for Canada at FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Johnston was again key to Celtic producing an excellent comeback to overhaul Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership this season and, perhaps an unsung hero in comparison to some of Canada’s bigger names, remains a key asset for Jesse Marsch.
