Bosnia and Herzegovina have qualified for a second FIFA World Cup™, having cut their teeth on the global stage at the 2014 edition in Brazil.
Although they failed to advance beyond the group stage in 2014, the Balkans gave a good account of themselves. After suffering narrow defeats to Argentina and Nigeria, they closed their campaign out with a memorable 3-1 victory over IR Iran, which was their maiden World Cup win.
Bosnia and Herzegovina secured their place at the 2026 finals via the UEFA play-offs where they came from behind against Wales and Italy and eventually prevailed in shootouts against the pair.
