FCSB vs CFR Cluj prediction

The artist formerly known as Steaua Bucharest, FCSB, made it back-to-back Romanian league titles last season as they seek to assert themselves as the dominant force in Romania once again. Under the management of former Cyprus international Elias Charalambous, won the league by nine points in the 2024/25 campaign.

Coached by former versatile Chelsea player Dan Petrescu, CFR Cluj won Cupa Romanei last season with a defeat of Hermannstadt, a mid-table side from the Romanian top-flight. Cluj most recently defeated Hungarian giants Debrecen by two goals to nil in a pre-season friendly last weekend.

We have the two biggest sides in Romanian football kicking off the campaign, but league winners FCSB are firm favourites for this one, especially with their home advantage.
